What Devices Work with BrewerBoard
BrewerBoard runs your tap lists and slideshows on any of these. The short version: a Fire TV or Google TV smart TV, or any 4K Fire TV Stick plugged into the TV you already have.
One critical exception below, so read to the end before you buy a streaming stick.
✅ Devices that work
- Smart TVs with Fire TV built in. If your TV runs Fire TV (e.g. Amazon Fire TV Omni, or Insignia / Toshiba Fire TV Editions), install the BrewerBoard app straight from the Amazon Appstore. No stick needed.
- Smart TVs with Google TV or Android TV built in. If your TV runs Google TV / Android TV (e.g. Sony, TCL, Hisense), install the BrewerBoard app from Google Play. No stick needed.
- Any 4K Fire TV Stick. The Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max, and 4K Plus all work. Plug one into the HDMI port of almost any TV. These run Android-based Fire OS, which keeps your menu on screen all day. Get a Fire TV Stick 4K Plus.
Do NOT use these
- Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025)
- Fire TV Stick HD (2026, 2nd gen)
These run Vega OS, Amazon's new operating system for its cheapest sticks. Vega OS forces a screensaver after a few minutes of no remote activity, and there is no setting to turn it off. That means your tap list or slideshow goes black mid-service. They are not usable for an always-on menu, full stop.
How to tell which stick you're buying
Amazon sells several Fire TV Sticks that look almost identical. Go by the name on the box or listing:
- Labeled “4K”, “4K Max”, or “4K Plus” — safe to buy.
- Labeled “Select” or “HD” — avoid (Vega OS).
Already own a Fire/Google smart TV? You don't need any stick at all — just install the BrewerBoard app.
